At Central Maine Osteopathic Manual Medicine, Dr. Jessica Poulin provides gentle osteopathic evaluations and treatments for infants experiencing feeding challenges, discomfort, or head and neck imbalances. Using subtle, precise techniques, she helps restore comfort and support healthy development—always with a light, nurturing touch.
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) for infants uses extremely gentle touch to assess and relieve areas of strain or restriction that may have developed during pregnancy or birth. Subtle adjustments support normal motion of the skull, neck, and jaw, improving feeding mechanics, comfort, and overall function.
During your baby’s visit, Dr. Poulin will take a thorough history, observe feeding if appropriate, and gently evaluate your baby’s head, spine, and body for areas of tension. Most infants relax or even fall asleep during treatment. Parents often notice easier feeding, better latch, improved comfort, and a calmer baby.
Our goal is always to help your baby feed comfortably, grow well, and feel at ease—while helping parents enjoy a smoother, more comfortable nursing experience.
